Hutt Valley Rose of Tralee, 2007

As is usual, the 2007 Regional Rose of Tralee selection was made
at the HVIS premises, and was a good, old-fashioned Irish function
- good music, fine food, grand craic, and of course the Roses. The
evening was a mix of the formal & the informal, with a little
music along the way.
Competing for the title were:

Catriona Hayes was born on
21 January 1980 in Cork City. Her family still lives in
Cork, while she has lived in New Zealand for 3 years.
Catriona is a Community Mental Health Nurse,
currently working with patients through Capital Coast District
Health Board.
Her interests are tramping and the ‘great
outdoors’, music – both listening and singing - and yoga.

Stephanie Brennan-Illes was born on 14
November 1985 in Christchurch, New Zealand. Currently she
is a student, and part-time waitress and bartender.
Stephanie’s mother was born in and brought up in Co Wicklow,
and all her family still live there.
She lists her principal interests as rugby – both playing
and supporting! – reading, movies, property development,
Pub Quizzes and travel.

Maryclare Hungerford-Morgan
was born on 27 April 19888 in Gosford, New South Wales.
Maryclare is a Manager at Burgerfuel. She
is interested in horses and horse-racing, animal psychology,
music (piano) dancing and singing.
Therese is of Irish descent rather than birth.
Her paternal grandfather was born in Ireland, and her great-great-great
grandmother, one Elizabeth Kennedy, was born in Wexford.

Therese Hungerford-Morgan
was born on 15 October 1986 in Rotorua.
Currently a student, she lists her interests
as Midwifery, Tae Kwondo, travel, reading, and guitar.
Therese is of Irish descent rather than birth.
Her paternal grandfather was born in Ireland, and her great-great-great
grandmother, one Elizabeth Kennedy, was born in Wexford.
