Welcome

The Hutt Valley Irish Society prides itself on being a "little bit of Ireland in the heart of Lower Hutt".

Explore this site to find out more about who we are, what we do and where we are.

We're 50 years young!

The Hutt Valley Irish Society began in 1961. Which makes 2011 a gala year for us.

To mark the occasion, we held a celebratory weekend - October 7, 8, 9.

We had a full programme, a raft of memory-invoking photographs, and chances to catch up with old friends. And of course, we have a lot of photos of those who attended the weekend.

We ate, we told stories, we listened to speeches, we saw our kids' art-work & stories, and we had a new T-shirt produced.

We produced a book of photos from the past, which you can buy online and have delivered, and a DVD of photographs, which you can also order.

Why not drop in for a yarn and a drink, or join us for one of our special events? Guests and new members are always welcome.
