Irish Dancing

Dancers with their cups from the Feis, 2009Dancing is one of the distinguishing elements of the Irish community, wherever in the world you encounter them. And the Hutt Valley Irish Society is no different!

While we don't directly run dancing classes ourselves, many of our members have danced themselves, or have children who dance.

Indeed, two of our recent Roses of Tralee were expert dancers, and both continue to be involved with dancing: Emma Coffey and Aislinn Ryan.

As a result, we have a close relationship with the Kildunne School of Irish Dance in particular.
