HVIS - GFHA Golf Challenge - 2020

The Bernie Breslin Shield was at stake!

Saturday, 12 September, 2020, HVIS together with Wellington/Hutt Valley GFHA held a golf fundraiser at Manor Park Golf Course, Lower Hutt.

We had a number of competitions on the day including:

  • * an individual tournament,
  • * a team tournament between HVIS and Wellington/Hutt Valley GFHA,
  • * two "longest drive" competitions, and
  • * two "closest to the pin" competitions.

And the Trophy? The HVIS vs Wellington/Hutt Valley GFHA Team Tournament was played for the newly minted BERNIE BRESLIN TROPHY. If you're not sure why it's called that, you'll need to look at the video (link below) for the 'prize-giving' which followed that evening at HVIS to find out!.

The weather co-operated, players were assembled, and the Irish set to party as only the Irish know how.
